Stonethrowers in Ayutthaya

After a long absence due to police intensive suppression, two incidents of rocks being thrown at cars were reported yesterday in Ayutthaya.

One involved a van used by wellknown rap singer Joey Boy. Noone was hurt in the two separate attacks.

The first incident occurred at around midnight. Aphisit Ophasiamlikhit and four colleagues escaped injury.

His van driver drove back to follow two rockthrowers on a motorcycle. He later found two suspects hiding with two other teenagers on another motorcycle by the roadside. But the four men fled before police arrived.

This attack occurred on Route 356 near KM 3132 markers in Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya district. A lone "missile" was found.

One hour later, a van was attacked at an intersection where Route 356 meets Route 347 in the same district. The driver, Arkhom Premsakul, said the attackers were two teenagers on a motorcycle who threw a stone at his windshield. Seven occupants in the van were unhurt.
