FTA Camp kicks off in Songkhla

The Commerce Ministrys' Trade Negotiations Department on Friday kicked off the "FTA Camp" in Songkhla, the two-day event that sets to educate over 300 lecturers and students of universities in the province and nearby provinces on international trade.

"This will raise awareness in global economy among the youth and build up the network of FTA youth," said the department's director-general, Noppadol Srawasri. "This is the fifth event of its kind where participants will learn on global trade and trade negotiations."

The participants are expected to disseminate understanding in trade negotiations to the public.

Noppadol added that as Thailand and other Asean countries are moving toward the Asean Community in 2015, the department is also planning to host "Asean to Community Camp", which could be unveiled within this month.
