Runway fashion may be too ordinary for Zen department store so the store came up with a better idea - mixing fashion with the game of chess.

Zen turned top celebrities, among them Benjamas "Kalamare" Patcharasri, Mario Bauer, Kemmanij "Pancake' Jamikorn, Moddam Tancharoen and Krit Sripoomseth, into moveable and fashionable pieces for the "Fashion 'Live' Chessboard Contest 2009", dressing them in stylish and colourful clothes from 27 fashion brands available at Zen. The stars were divided into two teams and competed on the chessboard offering a fun-filled event for both players and onlookers.
