Seagate expects margin boost

Seagate Technology expects its gross profit margin will improve starting in its 2009 fourth fiscal quarter ending July 3, thanks to improvements in operational efficiency and product management.

Gross profit margin is forecast to reach 15 per cent in the fourth quarter. It expects revenue of US$2.2-$2.3 billion (Bt75.2-Bt78.6 billion) in that period. CEO Steve Luczo said Seagate's gross profit margin was targeted to continue to improve in the first quarter of 2010, to 18 per cent. - The Nation

High-end watches from Time Deco

Time Deco Corp has launched new watch models from the Victorinox Swiss Army line as part of its aggressive marketing strategy to increase its revenue in the mid-priced to high-priced range between Bt18,500-Bt50,000.

Conwood materials via e-commerce

Conwood, a wood-replacement material manufacturer under the Siam City Cement umbrella, has introduced "Conwood Web Sales" service to offer e-commerce to its clients. The aim is to boost the proportion of sales made online to 50 per cent of total sales by the end of 2010.

CEO Suthiphan Wacharopas says the online purchasing tool has made life easier for customers, as they can place orders from everywhere and receive products faster than in the past. - The Nation
