CP in deal with Bahraini bank
Charoen Pokphand Group has signed a farm agreement with Bahrain-based Islamic lender, Al Salam Bank BSC, to jointly invest in agricultural industry in the Middle East and North Africa.
"Al Salam and CP Group will jointly identify suitable agribusiness ventures that will generate attractive risk- adjusted returns while playing a proactive role in addressing food security in the region," CP said in a statement released on Monday.
Charoen Pokphand is Thailand's biggest meat producer.
