Each of these sub-branches offers a number of financial facilities, including international banking services, export credit insurance, loan and joint venture arrangements for the two banks' customers.
Apichai Boontherawara, president of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), the move is under the dual-bank branches or "One Branch Two Banks" programme which offers various financial facilities, namely, international banking, export credit insurance, loan and joint venture arrangements to the two banks' customers operating their businesses in nearby areas.
"One Branch Two Banks" campaign is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two banks last October to share their resources and expertise to complement each other's operations for the benefit of the Thai business communities.
"EXIM Thailand's Om Yai Sub-branch (opened on June 22) will help facilitate export transactions of business enterprises in Nong Khaem and Nakhon Pathom province. It is expected that, in the first year, transactions processed via this sub-branch would amount to more than Bt700 million," said Apichai.
Further, EXIM Thailand's Wongwian Yai Sub-branch will also be opened on June 25 to cater for customers in Phasi Charoen, Thon Buri, Chom Thong and Khlong San.
