 Representatives of about 190 countries will gather at the conference in New York.

 "My priority is to protect exporters and Thailand's economy through the strong protest against the growing protectionist measures, through tariffs or non-tariff barriers, which are harmful to the world economy," Pradit said.

 He noted that as two thirds of the economy is contributed by exports, and trade barriers would obstruct the economic recovery.

 On his card is also to update the conference on Thailand's economic stimulus package and to gain information on other countries' stimulus measures.
