Farmers can borrow Bt75,000 for travel to Sweden and Bt65,000 for travel to Finland.
He said the lending programme would reduce the level of borrowing in the unorganised market and ensure legal employment contracts via the assistance of five job-placement agencies.
The programme targets Bt300 million in loans to 4,500 farmers. So far, 99 farmers have received loans worth Bt6.4 million.

Following the 80 days of contract work, each picker should return home with about Bt170,000.
