Actor-turned-red shirt detained upon returning from Vietnam

Methee, whose career is in acting and modelling, said he would post bail today.

"I have been intending to report myself to police but was arrested beforehand," he said.

He said before he took a trip to Vietnam, he had anticipated about the imminent issuing of his warrant.

He is one of eight red-shirt suspects in the additional batch of warrants issued by police on June 15. The other suspects have reported to police and been granted temporary release earlier this week.

He is wanted for questioning in connection with his two appearances on the red-shirt rally stage. He made rallying speeches before and after the state of emergency.
