Pakorn Partanapat, first senior vice president, yesterday said the Tech Development Fund for Biogas lending scheme was focused on agricultural-product processing plants installing anaerobic fixed-film reactor technology.
The technology is jointly developed by three Thai agencies, led by the National Science and Technology Development Agenacy. It consumes low energy and produces methane as the by-product.
Kasikornbank expects to lend Bt500 million this year under the scheme.

PTT has signed a one-year contract to purchase pure biodiesel from Energy Absolute, with an average monthly supply of 1.5 million litres. Energy Absolute is expanding its capacity, partly through fund mobilisation from the Market for Alternative Investment, to cope with an increase in demand. |- The Nation
