
The Luk Chaomae Khlong Prapa All Star Team rolled over Phitsanulok Technical College's Kuaytak team in two out of three games, including the task of having their robot beat three drums in a mere 29 seconds.
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva presided over the opening ceremony of the final round that featured 16 teams.
Thirty-two teams competed in the national-level contest, held as part of the Technology Street 2009 by MCOT, the National Science and Technology Development Agency, PTT, the Vocational Education Commission, the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan), Asian Honda Motor, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University and Thai Life Insurance.
MCOT President Surapol Nitikraipoj said Technology Street 2009 was to promote creativity and youth development in technology skills to stimulate youths' interest in science and technology.
The event, hosted for the seventh year, featured activities such as an innovation contest and the ABU Robot Competition 2009.
