PTT Plc said in a statement that Dubai and high-speed diesel prices on Thursday hit the new highs this year at US$70.90 per barrel and $78.09, respectively, due to the depreciation in the US dollar. Meanwhile, refined 95-octane petrol price also stood at $76.97 per barrel. Oil prices also rose on the Energy Information Administration's report that the US crude reserves dropped 4.4 million barrels to 361.6 million barrels. EIA also estimated that global demand would rise 10,000 barrels per day to 83.68 million barrels, the first upward revision in eight months.
Local oil retailers thus would increase diesel prices by 60 satang per litre while diesel B5 price will be raised 80 satang. The price of all petrol products, except E85, will rise 60 satang.
