More respondents oppose PAD's forming party


There are more respondents object to the move by the People's Alliance for Democracy to set up a political party than those who support it, according to a poll by the National Institute Development Administration released on Tuesday.



Of 1,921 respondents from across the country, 40 per cent agreed with the PAD's decision to set up a party, 47.5 per cent disapproved with the move, the rest had no comment.

Only 32 per cent of respondents in Bangkok and vicinity approved the move. For the question who should head the PAD's party, 26.5 per cent said Sondhi Limthongkul and 64.1 per cent gave no comment.

Of total respondents, 56.9 per cent have not decided which party they would vote for in the next general election. For those who have chosen the party to vote for, 25.8 per cent said they would go for the Democrat Party, followed by Pheu Thai Party 10.1 per cent, 5.2 per cent said they would vote for the PAD's New Politics Party.
