US praised Thailand on cracking down IP goods
The US government sent a letter to praise Thailand 's government on its effort to crack down intellectual property violation, saying that it would help boost Thailand 's economic growth in the long run.
Krisda Piampongsant, spokesman to the Commerce Ministry, said yesterday that the ministry reported some 2,768 cases of IP infringement were arrested and seized of 1.5 million pieces of illegal products in the first four mont hs this year. In April alone, the suppression reached 736 cases with 160,614 items of illegal goods were seized. —The Nation
