GE Thailand wins services contract from PTTEP

Pornlert Lattanan, president and National Executive of GE in Thailand and Laos, and Suraphong Iamchula of PTTEP

PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) has awarded a supply and maintenance services contract to GE in respect of the Surface Well Heads and Christmas trees for the Arthit and Bongkot concessions, marking the first GE services contract for offshore oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Thailand.

GE executives hope that this contract will lead to a wider involvement and participation in maintaining and servicing similar projects in Thailand in the coming months and years.

Ian Coull, Region Services Leader for Drilling and Production Systems, said "This agreement provides us with an opportunity to leverage the experience we've gained running similar contracts regionally and across our Global Services business to provide a consistently reliable level of service PTTEP can depend on."

GE Oil & Gas has been providing advanced technology products and services needed in the production of Oil, Gas and LNG, including pipelines, storage facilities, refinery equipment and petrochemicals, for more than 100 years. GE Oil & Gas has been supplying products and services on rotating equipment for PTT Group of companies for over a decade. Its extensive range of products includes specialty well heads, trees, valves, connectors, controls and related systems to meet the unique challenges of harsh environments where extreme pressures and temperatures are commonplace.
