Chiang Mai - A hearing impaired Thai teenager and her mother yesterday sought help from the media to locate her Japanese father, who lost touch with the family when she was three years old.
Sangwan Bamrung, a 44yearold resident of Sansai district, brought her vocaŽtionalstudent daughter Narumi Hamada, 18, to the Thai News Office in Chiang Mai yesterday morning to ask for help in locating Ryuiji Hamada, 45.
One happy ending
Sangwan said she wanted nothing from the Japanese man and affirmed that it would be okay if Hamada had remarried. She simply wants her daughter to meet the father she keeps asking about.
She admitted that the recent news of Phichit boy Keigo Sato's success in findŽing his Japanese father had encouraged her own renewed efforts to find Hamada.
Keigo to meet dad
In related news, Keigo will travel to Bangkok today for a private chat with his Japanese father tomorrow, Matichon's website reports. Katsumi Sato will make a phone call to the Japanese embassy to talk to his Thai son.
