Oil prices up 60 satang per litre

Retailers on Friday raise retail petrol and diesel prices by 60 satang per litre, except gasohol E85 due to the renewed spike in global oil prices.

PTT Executive Vice President Withaya Wangchitrarak said investor confidence has bounced back due to improvement in US economic indicators. In the past week, oil prices have thus risen continually. As of May 7, Dubai crude oil rose to the highest point in 2009, at US$54.17 per barrel. Refined oil prices in Singapore also rose about $6-$7 per barrel from the previous week.

Withaya has pressured down local retailers' marketing fee to 90 satang per litre on average.
