
After the board's meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Korbsak Sabhavasu, Energy Minister Wannarat Charn-nukul said the the budget will go to: Bt1 billion to energy-saving campaigns, Bt736 million on projects in line with the government and the ministry's policies like waste-to-energy project, and Bt575 million to fulfil the fund's objectives.
"The budget is expected to reduce energy consumption equivalent to 90.23 billion tonnes of crude oil per annum and create alternative energy equivalent to 14.65 billion tonnes of crude oil," he said.
