HTC Touch Pro2
HTC's latest flagship smart phone, the HTC Touch Pro2, comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard and boasts the integration of innovative simplicity with unique style and an intuitive interface to balance function and form.
With a clear leaning towards business users, the HTC Touch Pro2 is officially introduced to Thai market today.
It is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7200A 528MHz processor and comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. It offers 512Mb ROM and 288Mb RAM of memory capacity. It measures 116 x 59.2 x 17.25 millimetres and weighs 187.5 grams with a battery.
The HTC Touch Pro2 has a 3.6-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen with 480 x 800 WVGA resolution. The screen can also be adjusted for tilt. The device also has a 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera, a GPS receiver and a 1500mAh battery. It supports microSD cards.
The smart phone's communication features begin with GSM with 3G and include 7.2-Mbps HSDPA, CDMA, Bluetooth 2.0, and Wi-Fi. It is also equipped with an Opera Internet browser and comes with a single mini-USB interface for charging, syncing and connecting a wired headset.
The highlights of the device include the touch-screen software, its adjustable tilt screen, and the QWERTY keyboard that slides out from under the screen. The screen can be given a 60- or 70-degree tilt for keying in messages. The keyboard is surprisingly spacious, allowing users to tap out messages quickly and comfortably.
The device also has TouchFLO 3D, which brings important information to the top-level user interface, including quick access to people, messaging, e-mail, photos, music and weather with a finger touch.
The loudspeaker is also one of the HTC Touch Pro2's big features. It offers crystal-clear sound quality and can operate as a professional palm-sized conference phone, combining the abilities of its loudspeaker and noise-cancelling microphones, all of which are on the back of the device. When users lay the phone face down on a table, it automatically goes into speaker-phone mode. The two microphones pick up sound from many people in a room and cancel out background noise to focus on a speaker's voice.
Finally, the HTC Touch Pro2 features "Straight Talk" technology. It allows the device to move seamlessly between different types of communication, jumping from e-mail to single-line calls and party calls.
The approximate cost of the HTC Touch Pro2 is more than Bt30,000.
