
Oracle held its High Technology Industry Strategy Council meeting in Tokyo during April 20-21, 2009 to coincide with Oracle OpenWorld Japan.
The meeting convened with a group of leading global executives to build and strengthen executive-level customer relationships, validate Oracle's product directions, identify industry challenges and allow customers to directly influence Oracle's strategic vision and product strategy for high technology.
The agenda for this meeting focused on Asia Pacific and Japan, the impact of economic conditions on product innovation management and service transformation, as well as multi-enterprise collaboration across the value chain.
Discussions covered all segments of the high technology industry, ranging from OEMs, semiconductors, to outsourced manufacturing services.
Since the inception of the High Technology Industry Strategy Council in 2006, two council meetings have taken place in Asia Pacific and Japan, including a 2007 meeting held in Shanghai, China.
The meeting included participants from Acer, Creation Technologies, Huawei, Inventec, LG Electronics, Motorola, TDK, Toshiba Corporation and WPG. \
