PM orders probing over Sondhi's ambush



Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Friday that the government will conduct all-out investigation into an ambush on Yellow shirts' leader Sondhi Limthongkul on early Friday morning.

He asked the public to be calm down as the government will do its best to arrest the attackers.

He also encouraged those who believed they were in dangerous situation to alert police because the government did not want to see more attacks on anyone. 

"I already order authorities concerned to check how the war weapons be emerged and used in the capital," he said.

At the attack scene, police found 84 bullet cases of AK-47 and HK-33 assault rifles, M-16 rifles. A dud M-79 shell fired from the attackers was also found in a bus which run near Sondhi's car during the ambush.

Sondhi and his secretary; Wayupak Mungklasin, are now in a safe condition while his driver; Adul Saengpradub, is still in coma.
