Cabinet meet tomorrow

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is set to hold a special Cabinet meeting tomorrow morning at a venue yet to be disclosed, for security reasons, government spokesman Panitan Wattanayagorn said yesterday.

The meeting is expected to discuss the turmoil of recent days, in addition to other key issues that had to be put on hold, Panitan said.

These included a decision on whether to extend the state of emer-gency for the deep South, as the three-month period for this was due to end soon, and a decision about government borrowing from overseas.

The prime minister's daily itinerary would be kept secret until the situation returned to normal, given the recent violence aimed at harm-ing him, said Panitan, who is also the PM's deputy secretary-general.
