Five killed in suspected robbery

A family of four and their housemaid were yesterday found murdered inside a luxurious one-rai house on Bangkok's Soi Lat Phrao 111, police said.

Furniture-factory owner Panayos Pathumwatsana, 57, his wife Kanokkan, 48, his daughter Sasima, 17, his son Thanawat, 15 and housemaid Samrong Buakaew, 40, had been dead for about a week. The house had been ransacked, and the family's Toyota van was found abandoned in Samut Sakhon.
