The rally there was intended to teach a lesson to the firm owners and to warn them to stop supporting the bureaucratic polity, Redshirted leader Jatuporn Prompan said at the Government House Friday morning.
About 200 of policemen were deployed around the hotel.
The rally organisers did not file any complaint or issue a statement against the King Power. They said the rally only aimed to show the redshirted protesters' power.
They would stage a mass rally on April 8 and march to the Privy Council President Prem Tinsulanonda's resident.
Protesters took pickup and sixwheeled trucks back to the Government House compound on 2.30pm as the rain came.
