Auto-parts companies charged of software piracy



Five auto-parts companies sharing a work space in an Samut Prakan industrial zone now face charges and liabilities for alleged use of unlicensed software products, belonging to Autodesk, Solid Works and Thai Software Enterprise.

 Police officers from the Economic and Cyber Crime Division searched 62 PCs and found more than 84 copies of software reproduced and utilised without authorisation. The estimated value of software is Bt9.5 million.
