
Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra said yesterday that workers visiting the Din Daeng ThaiJapanese Youth Centre could register for one of 1,000 lowcost houses in Bangkok and 9,000 houses in surrounding provinces. From Thursday to April 10, they could make a reservation at their supervising agencies, he added.
Special-rate loans
Successful candidates will be announced on May 1 after which contracts will be signed with the National Housing Authority (NHA) from May 15 onwards. During this time senior officials wishing to buy or refinance a home can take advantage of the special rates for loans of up to Bt1 million being offered by Krung Thai Bank, Government Housing Bank, Government Savings Bank and Islamic Bank of Thailand.
Deputy Governor Theerachon Manomaipibul said that the NHA project will not meet demand. Another project, with 15,000 homes, should be finished in four to seven months, he said.
