
IDC also reported that Sun grew its Windows server revenues by 370.8% in terms of factory revenue and while unit shipments increased 297.5% in CY 2008 compared with CY 2007. The launch of Sun's quad-core Intel Xeon processor-based systems, Sun Fire X4450 and Sun Fire X4150 is likely to be the catalyst bringing Sun into a new chapter in the Windows server arena.
