BoI Khon Kaen approves 11 projects in Q1
The Board of Investment in the first quarter endorsed investment privileges to 11 projects slated for the 11 upper Northeastern provinces, which will invest totally Bt1.6 billion and create 2,770 jobs.
Among the approved projects are a 500-rai Bt300-million industrial estate in Khon Kaen and a Bt382.9 million garment factory of NB Apparel Co Ltd in Nongbua Lamphoo which will hire 2,025 workers. Bua Sommai Biomass will also invest Bt490 million in a biomass power plant in Roi Et.
Yet, the Khon Kaen BOI Office admitted that the number of applications declined in line with economic conditions.
