Public debts at 38.13% in December



Thailand's public debts at the end of December stood at Bt3.47 trillion or 38.13 per cent of gross domestic product, according to the Public Debt Management Office.

 Of total, short-term debts accounted for Bt174 billion while long-term debts totalled Bt3.3 trillion. Of total, Bt3 trillion is borrowed from the domestic market, while foreign loans accounted for only Bt415.5 billion. From total foreign loans, 64 per cent was denominated in Japanese yen, 20 per cent in US dollar and 16 per cent in euro.
