
Deputy Prime Minister Korbsak Sabhavasu presided over the recent award presentation ceremony, hosted by the Office of the Thailand Quality Award (TQA).
Sompob Amatayakul, chairman of the National Committee, revealed that for 2008 which is the 7th in the competition series, there was no winner for the Thailand Quality Award (with over 650 of evaluation scores) but there are four winners of the TQC awards (with 351-650 score points).
Peerapong Achariyacheevin, executive vice president of PTT for natural gas transmission, said that, "Our vision, mission and culture all reflect the determination to support the overall operation of PTT, to achieve sustainable growth and to become an organisation of world-class excellence. "By participating in the TQA, we had a great chance to systematically steer ourselves toward even greater organizational performance and productivity. The Feedback Report we received from TQA assessors has also helped us achieve a better balance in managing internal operations for all stakeholders. More importantly, our staff at all levels showed a greater understanding on how to work together to meet the company's missions and realize its vision," added Peerapong.
