Farmers' registration to end in March
The Agricultural Economics Office rushes on completing farmers' registration on March 31 as planned.
Apichart Jongsakul, secretary-general of the office, said that the registration is instrumental in establishing the correct data of all agricultural segments - plants, fishery and livestock. The data would be used for the government to plot development and supporting plans, so that the government assistance is more accurate and transparent.
"In the future, government assistance could be reserved only for registered agriculturalists," he said.
The registration started from Feb 16.
