According to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, 481 companies, from total 495, showed combined revenue of Bt7.3 trillion, up 22 per cent on year.
"The lower earnings were attributed chiefly to the energy companies' losses in the fourth quarter of last year as well as the weakening of the Thai baht, which resulted in the combined foreign exchange losses of Bt15 billion," said Patareeya Benjapholchai, SET president.
The exchange also said that 272 companies have announced dividend payments, and the dividend ratio grew 6.65 per cent on year.
