A month after the surgery, the former world No 9 had a check-up at the Chulalongkorn Hospital yesterday and was happy with the progress.
"The x-ray showed the bone looks good. I'm happy with the way things are picking up,'' said Paradorn, who last played a match in March 2007.
He had the first operation in the United States two years ago but the outcome was nowhere near satisfactory. He was found to have fractured a bone in his right hand and underwent surgery at the Chulalongkorn Hospital earlier this year.
"It didn't hurt at all when the doctor pressed my wound, which is a lot better than the first operation."
Paradorn is expected to pick up the racquet in the next two months and undergo light training. But he can resume full-time practice six months from now.
"I will follow the doctor's suggestion. I think I will recover in time for the Thailand Open," added Paradorn.
