dtac upgrades its network to effectively serve Thailand as the host of the 14th ASEAN Summit in Hua Hin

dtac enhances the capacity of its network when Thailand hosts the 14th ASEAN Summit in Cha-am and Hua Hin areas between February 27 and March 1.

This is to confidently serve the volume of phone calls and the transmission of short and multimedia messages that is about to soar at meeting venues and accommodations due to huge arrivals there.

Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (dtac) expresses confidence in its connection services especially in the Cha-am-Hua Hin coastline which is the venue of the 14th Asean Summit between February 27 and March 1, 2009, thanks to its network being upgraded especially for Cha-am and Hua Hin areas. The upgrade targets main conference venues where high communication demands are expected. This is especially to help welcome the leaders of 10 nations who will attend the summit.

dtac had its staff survey and upgrade its network in the vicinities of the leading hotels along the Cha-am-Hua Hin coastline that are expected to accommodate the participants of the summit, their followers, tourists as well as local and foreign members of the press. They include Dusit Thani Hua Hin, Sofitel Centara Grand Resort & Villas, Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa, Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, AKA Resort, Chiva-Som International Health Resort, Putahracsa Hua Hin, Anantara Hua Hin, and Wora Bura Resort & Spa.

The upgrade also covers resorts along Hua Hin beach from Wat Huay Sai to Wat Khao Takiab Mountain. It raises the service capacity of the network by about 50,000 phone numbers in the area and makes the network ready to serve all demands, be they phone calls, short messages, multimedia messages or data transmission. Therefore, dtac is confident that there will definitely be enough communication channels to meet all demands on the special occasion of Thailand as the host of the 14th Asean Summit.
