Angkhana, in her 20s, died while participating in the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) demonstration on October 7 last year.
Her death won much public sympathy and brought heavy condemnation on the previous administration.
HM the Queen Sirikit attended Angkhana's cremation rite and praised her as a good girl.
Many investigators concluded that Angkhana died of tear gas used by police during the crackdown on PAD demonstrators.
An informed source, however, revealed yesterday that Pol Lt Colonel Sompop Putsri - a scientist at the Scientific Crime Detection Division - found components of a C4 bomb on the brassiere and yellow T-shirt worn by Angkhana at the time of her death.
"These are not components of tear gas," the same source said.
