Company in Software Park incubation

Patients of skincare clinics can now get consultancy services from other clinics via the Internet without a need to "go against the traffic", thanks to the development of DoctorCosmetics.com.

To access the service, people must register as members of the online clinic. Then they can access consultancy services provided by 1,000 skincare clinics at a cost of only Bt10 per time.

Doctor Cosmetics Centre's managing director Nirun Phrompalin said the company's role was to create a skincare community website working as a service to both skin clinics and their patients.

It pools skin clinics for patients and offers skin clinics a number of patients. The company launched DoctorCosmetics.com three years ago and now has more than 5,000 customers and 1,000 skin clinics have joined the website. Regularly, about 10 doctors provide skincare consultations. 

"The service is not a real-time chat. Patients access the website to leave their questions in a consultation session and the doctor leaves answers. Rather than simply accepting text-based questions, patients can post photographs of skin conditions to help the doctor's diagnosis and advice," Nirun said.

The company's revenue comes from three sources: the service charge of Bt10 per visit for patients, banner advertisements costing Bt1,000 per month and consultation services for skin clinics wishing to set up their own online services. 

DoctorCosmetics.com is one of 35 companies in Software Park Thailand's incubation centre this year. Nirun said that as an enterprise under incubation, her company received a lot of consultancy support in business operations, technology and marketing, as well as mentoring support.
