Over 10,000 workers lose job so far this year

Labour Welfare and Protection Department Director-General Amporn Nitisiri said on Monday that during January 1-13, a number of 118 businesses have closed their doors and laid off 13,237 employees.

She said 215 more are likely to end business soon, which would affect 98,251 workers, mostly in textile, computer & electronic parts, jewellery and automobile sectors.
