
Asia Green Energy (AGE), supplier and distributor of biomass fuels, has set its initial public offering (IPO) price at Bt6.50 a share.
AGE's stock will debut on the Market Alternative Investment on February 26.
Managing director Panom Khuansataporn said his company would float 35 million shares. Funds raised will go towards improving company warehouses.
Panom said AGE was targeting revenue growth of 20 per cent this year, from last year's expected Bt2 billion.
ICT Ministry probe The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Ministry has appointed a fact-finding committee to probe CAT Telecom's e-auction held to procure an automatically switched optical network worth more than Bt2.6 billion.
The appointment of the committee follows a request by the Senate's science and ICT committee that the National Anti-Corruption Commission investigate the project's alleged lack of transparency.
Bumrungrad wins
Bumrungrad International Hospital was named Thailand's Best Small-Cap Company in the December 2008/January 2009 issue of Asiamoney, a leading financial magazine for the Asia-Pacific.
The award is the result of the magazine's annual poll of fund managers and analysts aimed at recognising the best-managed small-, medium- and large-cap corporations across the region.
Airport Rail Link
The Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link will be ready for service on August 12, says Transport Minister Sophon Saram.
It is 97-per-cent complete and will be ready for service on schedule, he said. Construction started in 2005, and it will run between Suvarnabhumi Airport and the City Air Terminal in Bangkok's Makkasan area.
Nortel Networks
Nortel Networks (Thailand) will focus more on tapping the government, financial and manufacturing sectors this year, Arom Phornpraphan, country leader for the company's channel and enterprise business, said yesterday.
Mark Fioretto, vice president for South Asian enterprise business at Canadian telecom-equipment manufacturer Nortel Networks, the local subsidiary's parent, said his company was operating as usual and had even won new contracts in Asia. This despite filing for bankruptcy protection in both Canada and the US on January 14, which will allow it to continue operating while undertaking comprehensive business and financial restructuring.
Fioretto said his company would emerge from the restructuring process more focused and financially sound. - The Nation
