Angler Technologies Selects Bangkok for First Location in Asia

New Systems Integrator of Next of IT Solutions Hires Local Experts and Opens Bangkok Office

Angler Technologies, a newly formed systems integrator of next generation IT technologies, has selected Bangkok for its first location in Asia. Backed by US and Thai investors, Angler has set up a state-of-the-art integration center in their Silom-based office and is aggressively tapping into local IT talent to build its organization.

Angler Technologies will target the needs of medium to large sized commercial organizations throughout Thailand by providing best-of-breed solutions, consulting, and integration services.

"Angler represents an exciting new addition the IT industry in Thailand," said Peter Corny, managing director, ACA Pacific, Thailand. "It is great to see new investment in Thailand from a company like Angler with well though-out strategy to address the needs of end-users."

Angler Technologies will focus on next generation solutions for enterprises including networking, wireless, security, compliance, data centers, and unified communications technologies.  By combing the strengths a talented local team with strong connections into hot Silicon Valley companies, Angler will bring unique customer-focused solutions to their customers.

"Enterprises are being bombarded with point products in the areas of communications, storage, and security," said John Humphreys, Angler director. "But users need integrated solutions and the services to make them work. Angler's vision will address theses issue in the context of Thailand's unique circumstances and local laws."

In an economic climate where some companies are cutting back, Angler Technologies is hiring and just completed fitting out a state-of the-art integration center in central Bangkok. Investors include such Silicon Valley legends as Jeff Prince who co-founded Foundry Networks and founded ConSentry Networks.

"As a frequent visitor to Asia, I can attest to considerable opportunity that exists for IT solutions to help enable the growth and prosperity of businesses," said Jeff Prince, CTO and Chairman of ConSentry Networks.  Bangkok is a logical first location for Angler to launch such services."
