Police chief cleared
The Southern Bangkok Criminal Court yesterday dismissed the lawsuit for abuse of authority against national police chief Gen Patcharawat Wongsuwan.
Gen Seripisut Temiyavej filed the lawsuit last year after thenPM Samak Sundaravej assigned a disciplinary panel to look into allegations against Seripisut of graft in the Bt9.89 billion police vanrental project, giving inappropriate orders and assignments. The court said Patcharawat acted within his jurisdiction in confiscating documents.
