Noppawan In Junior Australian Open Round 3



The Nation - Top seed Noppawan Lertcheewakarn remained the lone Thai hope in the Junior Australian Open after she ousted Dutch girl Quirine Lemoine 6-3 6-2 in the girls' singles second round on Tuesday.

   While the world junior No 1 progressed, two compatriots were shown exits. Kanyapat Narattana, despite serving for the second set at 5-3, lost to Wimbledon champion Laurna Robson 3-6 6-7 (0-7).

   The other Thai Nicha Lertpitaksinchai, a qualifier, was sent packing by Russian Victoria Kamenskaya 4-6 1-6.
