Attorney to summon Sondhi on lese majesty charge
Investigators from Dusit Police Station handed over People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) leader Sondhi Limthongkul and the dossier on his lese majesty charge to the criminal litigation attorney on Thursday.
Sondhi was accused of lese majeste after he referred to a speech given by Ms Daranee Charnchoengsilpakul, alias Da Torpedo, who was speaking before the red-shirt United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) demonstrators on July 21, 2008. She was arrested earlier on the same allegation.
The attorney will summon Sondhi on March 3 at 10am.
According to the PAD leader, he is not worried about his charges.
In addition, he said the PAD will not start any movement because the group wants to give time for the government to perform its duties. He also expressed confidence that Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is capable of administering the country.
