SEC/police raid offices

The Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday joined hands with over 30 police officers to raid four offices of SEC Auto Sales and Services Plc, Picnic Corporation Plc, and World Gas (Thailand) Co Ltd.

The move followed the intention of the exchange watchdog as well as the National Police Bureau to rush on the crack down on violators of the securities act.

Document which may be related to the cases are confiscated.

The watchdog recently filed charges against executives and other individuals for allegedly manipulating the prices of the above companies.
