Tisco Financial Group posted the 2008 net profit of Bt1.72 billion, up 4.2 per cent on year from Bt1.65 billion, due mainly to the 19.3 per cent increase in interest income and dividend revenue

In the year, its deposits jumped 46.9 per cent, while leasing business grew 19.5 per cent.

"The performance is satisfactory given volatility in the financial markets as a result of the economic crisis in the second half last year," said its CEO Pliu Mangkornkanok.
