
The group established Tippattana Arcade Co Ltd as the subsidiary to invest in the project, to be located next to Ekamai BTS Station.
"Our concept is to create a more exciting and lively ambience that match the new generation lifestyle. Gateway will create new experience both in design and concept for the customers to enjoy in their daily lives." remarked Soammaphat Traisorat, director of Tippattana.
The project would be located on the 8-rai plot that the company leased from the Thai Red Cross Society. The lease contract lasts 30 years.
It will cover a 90,000 square metre 8-storey shopping centre, with
33,000 square metre of lettable area and parking area to accommodate over 800 cars.
Gateway is expected to provide dining venues, knowledge centres, fashion street or IT zone. The construction will commence within 2009 and expected to be ready by 2011.
