A first for His Majesty
His Majesty the King will tomorrow become the first recipient of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO)'s Global Leaders Award.
WIPO director-general Francis Gurry will present a medal to His Majesty at Prachuap Khiri Khan's Klai Kangwon Palace.
The award is in recognition for the King's inventions for rural community development and use of the intellectual property system to protect these works. To date, more than 20 of his inventions have been patented.
