
Apirak said after the meeting that as a former corporate executive, he is in charge of economic issues that deal with the industrial and household sectors. A committee would be set up and experts would be invited to share opinions.
"My presence should not affect the government's image. As an advisor, I hold no power in supervising state agencies. My role is restricted to advising," he said, referring to the pending corruption charge against him on Bangkok's purchases of fire-extinguishing boats and vehicles.
Other advisors are Khunying Supatra Masdit, Savit Bhodivihok, Kanok Wongtra-ngan and Bundit Siriphan, chief of Seni Pramoj's law office.
