The group's president, Andrew Jacka, said he expected the campaign to attract both foreign and domestic consumers.
"Consumer spending and tourist arrivals have declined, resulting in an adverse impact on our industry. So we have collaborated with our members to offer this campaign," Jacka explained.
Under the campaign, consumers can download and print the discount coupons from the association's website, www.thaispaassociation.com. The coupons, applicable to à-la-carte spa treatments at participating members, will be valid until February 28.
Reservations are required and customers must present the voucher upon arrival.
Operators participating in the campaign include Banyan Tree, Spa Cenvaree, Imperial Spa, JW's Health Club and Spa, Marriott Hotel Bangkok, S Medical Spa, TRIA Integrative Wellness, Palm Herbal Retreat, and Pranali Spa.
In addition, 20 hotels and resorts are offering special accommodation rates under the Thailand Super Deal campaign. The promotions can be accessed through www. thailandsuperdeal.com.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand's offices overseas are also promoting these super-deals through print media and their website, www.tourismthailand.org.
Under TAT's current "One Price All Destinations" campaign more than 20 boutique hotels and resorts are offering Bt2,000 per night/per person stays. The rate includes airport transfer, breakfast and some dinners.
Reservations must be made before February 28 and vouchers have to be used up by June 30.
