
Yuranan said he had decided to put off meeting and greeting voters because a fortune-teller had warned him that he would only be lucky after his birthday, which falls on January 2.
Meanwhile, fellow candidate ML Nattakorn Devakula said he would reveal the names of his team of deputies, which would include a former senior government official and a former banker, on Saturday in Lumpini Park.
He also called on Bangkok residents to not be biased against him just because he has criticised the People's Alliance for Democracy leaders, Sondhi Limthongkul and Chamlong Srimuang. He was also seen visiting former finance minister Veerapong Ramangkura at the Double A Book Tower.
In related news, Democrat Party candidate MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra promised to help Bangkokians solve their debt problems.
"To solve individual debt problems, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration needs to cooperate with commercial banks, the Finance Ministry and other relevant organisations. The working committee would include representatives from debtors and commercial banks," Sukhumbhand said.
He added that the BMA would organise meetings to find a solution and propose it to the banks, while he would form a committee to follow up on both debtors and creditors.
