PDMO to issue additional Bt110 bn bonds

The Public Debt Management Office is prepared to issue government bonds worth Bt110 billion during January and March, about Bt80 billion of total earmarked to finance the budget deficit.

The office would also issue savings bonds and promissory notes.

Pongpanu Svetarundra, director-general of the office, said the bond issuance would be in line with the government's policy to raise the central budget spending by Bt100 billion.

In the first three months of the 2009 fiscal year, government bonds worth Bt60 billion was issued.
